| Issue Addressed by Service Release 1: |
- Backup and Restore from Floppy Disk
When performing a backup of Maximizer Enterprise 8 data and
restoring to Maximizer Enterprise 9, Version 9.5 through a
data conversion from a floppy disk, the Address Book did not
contain any data.
- Improvements and Support Added for Products
Maximizer was updated to include the following:
- Improvements to Microsoft Fax services and support for
Microsoft Fax printing
- Support and improvements for Novell Groupwise 7
- Support for importing from ACT! 2007 and ACT! Premium for
Workgroups 2007
- Maximizer Dialog Box Remained Open
When printing a Column Report to email, the Maximizer
dialog box (Sending Report to Email System) remained open.
- Exporting Numeric Values to Excel
Numeric values greater than 999 were not exporting properly
from a column setup to Excel.
- Follow-up Task Not Logged
Creation notes were not logged when creating follow-up
tasks.
- Dashboard Failed to Load in Maximizer
Opening a Dashboard from Company Announcements on computers
where Internet Explorer 7 is installed generated a script
error.
- Task Alarm Not Dismissed in Synchronization
When a task with a reminder was synchronized between
Maximizer and Outlook and the task was dismissed in Outlook,
the task alarm continued to appear in Outlook.
- Opportunity Entries Not Copied When Duplicating Address
Book Entry
When duplicating an Address Book entry associated to
opportunities, the field values for Product/Services,
Categories, and Confidence rating were not copied to the
opportunities in the duplicated entry.
- Recurring Appointments Not Sychronizing Properly to
Outlook Web Access
Recurring appointments synchronized from Maximizer to
Outlook, although visible in Outlook, may not have been
visible in Outlook Web Access.
- Solution Notes in New Cases Not Saving Properly
If a user entered a solution note when creating a new
customer service case, and then used the Apply button to
save the case, the text for the solution note was cleared.
- Cases Not Created Properly from Email Window
When creating a case from the Email window, the case may not
have contained the right Company/Individual.
- CurrentRecord Function for Refresh
RefreshCurrentRow for the CurrentRecord object is a new
function allowing you to refresh the current record in the
Address Book window, the Customer Service window, or the
Opportunities window rather than using the RefreshAllWindows
function, which refreshes all windows.
- Not All Records Returned in ODBC Queries Using Client
ID field
In certain circumstances, when Maximizer ODBC was used
for a SQL query on the Custom_Child table on SQL databases,
and a client ID was specified in the WHERE clause, only
one record was returned even if more than one record
matched the client ID.
- Appointments Deleted After Data Transferred Back
If a user created appointments for an Address Book entry
after transferring the entry to another Address Book, the
appointments were deleted when the entry was transferred
back.
- Modifying the Stage for an Opportunity in Partner Portal
Previously, the stage in an opportunity was not designed
to be modified in Partner Portal. The stage can now be
manually modified as long as the opportunity doesn't have a
strategy. This functionality is now consistent with
Employee Portal.
- Duplicate UDFs Created during Data Transfer
Transferring entries between databases by using
the File > Transfer command may have resulted in the
creation of duplicate user-defined fields. This issue
pertained to both the Direct Address Book access and Email
transfer methods.

When an email address was entered manually in the To field
with no specified Display name, the recipient name was shown
as quotation marks in the Sent Items.

When synchronizing Maximizer Address Book entries with
Outlook, address fields were populated in the Other address
category when the fields should have been populated only in
the Business address category.
- DSN Creation Failure in Windows Vista
A DSN creation failure caused problems in logging into the
main application and also with generating reports.
- Maximizer Word Processor Stops Responding
Using shared Microsoft Fax caused Maximizer Word Processor
to stop responding. This issue has been resolved, however,
field merging is not supported using shared Microsoft Fax.
See the Maximizer website for the latest compatible product

following window. The field values were displayed in the

- Read Access for Default Notes
When Read Access for a Default Note was set to a security
group or user, any default notes created would have the
Read Access right set to Public.
- Truncation of Company Name Field for Opportunities
When an opportunity was created through the Maximizer ODBC
driver, the Company Name field was truncated at 24
characters; the field should allow for a 78 character
length.

Updates to the Company Name field for opportunities were not
permitted using the following layers:
- Maximizer ODBC - Opportunity Table

- SQL Views - AMGR_Opportunity View
For access through the AMGR_Opportunity View, you must run a SQL script included with this service pack.
- Import Issues with ACT! 2005, ACT! 2006, and ACT! 2007
The following import issues occurred in ACT! 2005, ACT! 2006,
and ACT! 2007:

If you copied text from Microsoft Word 2000 or higher, the

Under rare circumstances, numeric field values that were
negative (e.g., - 1) were not deleted from the
AMGR_User_Fields_Tbl table (SQL).

release, some Key Fields could not be deleted or modified.
- Maximizer Closed Unexpectedly When Saving Phone Note
Maximizer closed unexpectedly when you were recording a
phone note, switched to another Address Book entry, and then
saved the phone note.
- Overwritten Email Message Body
Under rare circumstances, when the Flag Message option for
an email was selected, the body text would be overwritten by
the text "Follow up".
- Hotlist Task Creation for Past Dates
Hotlist tasks for past dates were created for date
user-defined fields that were flagged to be included
in the Hotlist when a custom filter was applied with
a past date. Hotlist tasks for past dates are no longer
created.
- Message Prompt to Confirm Address Updates
In Employee Portal, when you update an address for a Contact,
you are now prompted with a message notifying you that
changes to the address will update the address for the
Company/Individual and all of its associated Contacts that
use the address. You have the option of canceling the
update.
- Truncation of Opportunity Field Strings
When the AMGR_Opportunity View was updated by a SQL statement,
the last character of Basic Information field strings for an
opportunity was truncated after synchronizing with MaxExchange.
- Appointments Not Synchronizing to BlackBerry Device
Appointments synchronized from Maximizer to Outlook
would not synchronize to the BlackBerry device when
