Issues Addressed by Hot Fix 2 for Service Release 1:
When upgrading from Maximizer Enterprise 5, 6, 7, or 7.5 (Pervasive) to Maximizer Enterprise 9 (Pervasive),
alphanumeric user-defined field values longer than
40 characters would be truncated to 40 characters after
upgrade.
To resolve this issue, you must install this hot fix
BEFORE UPGRADING YOUR MAXIMIZER ADDRESS BOOK TO VERSION
9. (Other issues described in this hot fix are resolved
by this hot fix, even if this hot fix is installed after
upgrading the Address Book.)
When moving a Contact Address Book entry to a different
Company or Individual Address Book entry, if the Contact
had related records in the Custom_Child table, those
Custom_Child records would be deleted instead of being
kept with updated Client_Id and Contact_Number.
On Customer and Partner portals, a date comparison
error occurred, which caused the following error message
to appear:
This portal is currently either not enabled or is set
for use with an invalid Maximizer Address Book.
Administrators should modify their configuration file
to enable. Try to login again later.
When the Maximizer Enterprise 9 import utility attempted
to import a table user-defined field item that didn't
already exist in the target Address Book, it would create the new item. However, if the item contained more than 30 characters, it would create the item in the target Address Book whether it already existed or not, resulting in duplicate items. This issue applies to importing text-format files only, such as tab-delimited or comma-separated values (.csv) import files.
