In addition to our gateway services, you will need Internet merchant accounts to accept credit cards on your websites. In order for merchants to accept credit card payments for goods and services over the Internet, an Internet merchant account is required for each credit card. These type of accounts allow you to process "card not present" transactions.

Most merchants acquire their Internet merchant accounts from their bank, where their business accounts are currently located. Banks charge discount rates of up to 5% and sometimes require initial security deposits up to 10% of projected annual revenues.

PSiGate offers Internet businesses an alternative. We can provide low-cost Canadian Internet merchant accounts to our Canadian merchants. Through our partnerships with several US banks, US merchants have a no-hassle solution to acquire merchant accounts.

US Merchants
PSiGate can also provide its Gateway services to US-based merchants. Our Gateway allows our US based merchants the ability to work with over 300 US banking institutions.

Canadian Merchants
PSiGate can provide Canadian merchants with Visa and MasterCard merchant IDs. Canadian merchants that are interested in accepting Amercian Express should call 1-800-268-9877 to apply. Or complete our online application and select American Express. Please note that PSiGate aids in the American Express application by simply sending the application to American Express on your behalf. Be aware that Amercian Express will bill your corporate address a $25.00 setup fee.

We do not require any initial deposits for our Canadian Internet Merchant accounts and our discount rate is very competitive. We do however require a rolling merchant reserve fund of up to 5%. This allows Internet Businesses to receive a Merchant ID with very little upfront investment. All that PSiGate requires is a check of your credit history and trade references. With PSiGate, there’s nothing standing between your company and the wealth the Internet has to offer.
